Market Capitalisation of Listed Companies

Previously, listed companies with a market capitalisation of $75 million and below as of 31 March 2003 were not required to report quarterly results. On 31 August 2006, The Ministry of Finance accepted recommendation by the Council of Corporate Disclosure and Governance to retain mandatory quarterly reporting.

The market capitalisation of exempted companies will be reviewed at the end of each calendar year, starting 31 December 2006. Those companies whose market capitalisation exceed $75 million will be subject to mandatory quarterly reporting. A 12 months grace period will be given and thus, companies whose market capitalisation exceeds $75 million as of end December 2006 are required to issue their first quarterly result for the period beginning January 2008. The information presented below provides investors with a perspective of who these companies are.
