SGX Issues Consultation Paper on Amendments to the SGX-ST Rules in Relation to Restrictions on the Trading of Global Depository Receipts Singapore Exchange Ltd (“SGX”) is inviting public comments on its proposed consequential amendment to SGX-ST Rule 3.1.3(3) to provide the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”) with powers to impose certain conditions and restrictions on the trading of securities, such as those imposed on the trading of Global Depository Receipts (“GDRs”) under Rule 252(2) of the SGX-ST Listing Manual.
The attached consultation paper sets out the proposed SGX-ST Rule 3.1.3(3). We invite comments from market participants and the public on this Rule.
In its proposal, SGX recommends adopting a measured approach by making reasonable adjustments to the current minimum bids schedule, assessing the impacts of the revisions and implementing more adjustments to the minimum bid sizes, where necessary.
