SGX REWRITES ELECTRONIC TRADING RULES FOR DERIVATIVES MARKET Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) is issuing a Consultation Paper with proposed amendments to Chapter 11 of the SGX Derivatives Trading Rules. It is inviting feedback from market participants and members of the public between 1 and 15 June 2004.
The amendments aim to update all electronic trading rules for the SGX derivatives market into one chapter, making it a "one-stop" reference. The rules will be implemented in time for the launch of SGX Quest1 in August 2004.
The scope of the Chapter 11 rewrite includes:
- regulation of SGX-DT Members' trading conduct and practices on the SGX-DT electronic market; and
- provision of direct access to the SGX-DT electronic market2.
The public may access the Consultation Paper, the draft Chapter 11 and the audit trail of the proposed rules changes on SGX's website at www.sgx.com. They can give their feedback via:
