BACKGROUND The Company was incorporated under the laws of Bermuda on 2 July 2003. It is the holding company of AsiaPharm Investments Ltd which owns 95.93 percent of the shareholdings of Shandong Luye Pharmaceutical Co Ltd. Shandong Luye owns 69 percent and 80 percent of the shareholdings of Shandong Luye Natural Drug Research and Development Co Ltd and Yantai Luye Drugs Trading Co Ltd respectively. The Group specialises in the research, development, production and sale of pharmaceutial drugs and new formulations for chemical drugs, the sale of R&D results and patents for new drugs, and the provision of research services on a contract basis. To reach its customers, the group has established a distribution network of 35 sales support offices, covering 30 provinces, municipals and autonomous regions, reaching aprroximately 2,500 hospitals.
