BACKGROUND
The Company was incorporated on 25 January 1979 to undertake the activities of designing, fabricating and installing material handling, packaging and end-line systems and ventilation and air-distribution products.
Today, Inter-Roller specialises in the designing and building of Airport Logistics Systems such as Airport Baggage Handling Systems, In-flight Catering Systems, Air Cargo Handling Systems and Parcel Handling Systems. In addition, Inter-Roller also designs and builds Industrial Automation Systems, Bulk Handling Systems, Automated Car Parking Systems and Air Handling/ Pollution Control Systems.
It manufactures its own equipment at its two factories, one located at its headquarters and the other at its Malaysian subsidiary, IR Engineering Sdn Bhd. In addition, it has subsidiaries and offices in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and China, offering full project management, operations and maintenance support services.
Its Singapore premises has over 14,000 sq m, offering of factory space dedicated to production. Over in its other manufacturing facility in Pontian, Malaysia, total factory space amounts to 19,400 sqm. A new factory will be completed in May 2006 and this would increase the current total factory space to over 40,000 sqm. |
