Our Company was incorporated in Singapore as a private limited company on 23 December 1992 as BLC Electronics Pte Ltd. It changed its name to Enzer Corporation Pte Ltd on 2 May 1997 and assumed its present name upon conversion into a public company on 20 April 2001. Our Group is engaged in the distribution and marketing of :-
1. electronic components, such as capacitors, resistors, printed circuit boards, microcontrollers, liquid crystal display modules, connectors, relays etc; and
2. home entertainment, information and communication products such as corded and cordless telephones, DECT telephones, desktop video compact disc players, portable compact disc players, desktop DVD players and desktop super video compact disc players and others (“Enfocomm Products”).
Marketing and Distribution of Electronic Components
In this business, we distribute electronic components to the electronics industry under distributorship and sales representative arrangements with principals who manufacture these products. We currently distribute different types of electronic components from nine semiconductor product principals.
Our customers include manufacturers of Enfocomm Products, contract manufacturers, OEMs, manufacturers of PC and related industry (mainly the data storage devices industry), manufacturers of medical equipment and manufacturers of industrial systems. They are spread over the region in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China and India.
Marketing and Distribution of Enfocomm Products
We currently market and distribute Enfocomm Products under our own “ENZER” brand, including corded and cordless telephones, DECT telephones, portable and desktop video compact disc players, portable compact disc players, desktop DVD players and desktop super video compact disc players. We do not manufacture these products. These products are sourced from third party manufacturers who are selected based on stringent evaluation of their technical and technological capabilities, product quality and reliability, product features, ability of the manufacturer to meet delivery deadlines, price competitiveness, after sales service, financial stability and reputation of the manufacturer and its management team.
This activity of our Group began in December 1998 as part of our strategy to build a recognised brand name as well as an established distribution channel for our Enfocomm Products.
